Successful Book Drive

In their own words:
" A big thank you goes out to Carol Madsen and our friends from The Alliance for Cultural & Economic Exchange in Boston who recently donated a Spanish / English dictionary to every Yachana student. Some still can't believe they have their very own dictionary! This was a really thoughtful gift that will be appreciated for years to come."

The Yachina Foundation is a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) focused on sustainable education and development in the Ecuadorian Amazon.

The book drive was launched at the Dinner Program at the Machu Picchu Restaurant on March 16, 2010. We have now met our objective to provide a Spanish-English dictionary to each student at the Yachana school.

The Book Drive is the first in a series of initiatives we anticipate with this innovative school which has a mission so aligned with our own.
